Bio

My entrepreneurial efforts started early with a paper route at 12 years old and simple landscaping business at 13. Years later I would receive my BS in Geology from Oregon State University and start my long-term construction career with the Corps of Engineers, on drill rigs in some pretty remote locations. Over that 36-year career, I cross-trained into a Construction Engineer position, working my way through an incredible spectrum of construction venues including:

  • Heavy Civil/Geotechnical – dams, bridges, tunnels
  • Environmental Restoration – Superfund and HTRW site mitigation, river and wetlands restoration
  • Real Estate – commercial and residential

With a staff of 14 – Project Engineers and Field Inspectors –  I managed and administered hundreds of construction contracts for federal, state, and local municipality customers in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, retiring as a Resident Engineer/Administrative Contracting Officer – with over $200M in construction projects under contract.

Over the past 43 years (in my “spare” time – LOL) – I started and ran several successful small businesses – including an import/export business, VW (the air-cooled type) repair shop and a small excavation/landscape business – all in addition to management and full-service maintenance of several investment properties.

In “retirement” – I’ve slowed down a little and combined my two passions – construction and drones – into A&G Imagery.
